OPPO just had a pretty big event as it launched a couple of new hardware products. Today, we’re taking a look at the two main ones, the OPPO Reno 8 and 8 Pro.

Let’s take a look at the OPPO Reno 8 Pro, which has the bragging right of being the first to use the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Yes, Qualcomm is sticking to this new, easier to remember but longer to write branding for its chipsets.

Anyway, this new chip is built on a 4nm process, clocked at a 2.4GHz, and consists of Qualcomm Kyro cores. Handling the graphics is the Adreno 662 GPU.

The new device will also feature OPPO’s own MariSilicon X NPU to help its camera hardware take better pictures.

That said, the Reno 8 Pro boasts a 50-megapixel IMX766 main camera from Sony, joined by the standard 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro lens.

There’s a sharp 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It sits on a punch-hole cutout at the top of the 6.62-inch AMOLED screen that has a 120Hz refresh rate.
