Remember when phones used to last for a week on a single charge? Oukitel wants to bring it back with the WP19.
The new Oukitel WP19 boasts an enormous 21,000mAh battery, which can apparently last for up to 36 hours of video watching and whooping 2,252 hours of standby time.
But unlike the old phones that last for a week, this one is pretty chunky to accommodate that large battery. It is 29mm thick, which is almost twice as thick as a normal smartphone.
Charging should be a little similar, though, as its 33W adapter would take four hours to fully charge it.
Oukitel sees this big-battery phone as a great backup power supply in times of calamities. It has reverse charging support, which essentially lets you use it as a power bank to juice up your other gadgets.
Speaking of calamities, the WP19 is also pretty rugged as it comes with a sturdy build with a MIL-STD-810 drop-proof and IP68 dust and water-resistant rating as it can stay up to 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes.
The rest of the specs make the WP19 a pretty decent mid-range device. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a generous 256GB of internal storage.
It also comes with a 6.78-inch FHD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Android 12 OS, 64-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel macro, and a 20-megapixel night vision snapper with IR.
The Oukitel WP19 is currently listed at AliExpress with a converted price of Php31,615 and will be shipping from abroad.
