Instead of the F4, everyone’s attention is on the POCO X4 GT after the brand’s latest launch event.
The POCO F4 used last-gen’s chipset, which is why it didn’t get the same hype as the POCO X4 GT, which is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 CPU. It may be a midrange chip, but it has interesting feats such as being made from TSMC’s 5nm process, has four Cortex-A78 cores, and a brand-new Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The best part is, it actually has higher benchmark scores than the F4’s Snapdragon 870 in some tests.
To keep it cool, the X4 GT has Xiaomi’s LiquidCool Technology 2.0, which is 32% bigger than what the X3 GT has. It consists of 7 layers of graphite.
Its fast processor is paired with a speedy display. What we have here is a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling of 270Hz. It’s only an LCD panel instead of AMOLED unlike the F4, hence it the 650-nits peak brightness. On the upside, it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The battery capacity is at 5,080mAh battery, which can be fully charged in just 46 minutes with its 67W adapter.
Offering a complete package, the X4 GT also has the latest connectivity standards: 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6, and even NFC. It also has stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IR blaster.
For the cameras, we have a 64-megapixel main shooter on the back joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro. Sadly, the OIS is exclusive to the F4.
Still, it managed to get a sharp 20-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, video calls, and online classes.
The POCO X4 GT has an official price of Php18,990 in the Philippines. That’s for the 8GB/128GB variant, while the 8GB/256GB is at Php19,990. Come June 30, you can get both models with an early-bird discount of Php3,000 and Php2,000, respectively.
