Xiaomi have may have exploded into different sub-brands and line-ups, but there’s still one line that a lot of people are excited about — the Redmi number series. The latest addition to the line, the Redmi 10, tries to meet expectations by having a lot of big numbers.
The Redmi 10 boasts a 50-megapixel main camera, the biggest in the series. It’s joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and two 2-megapixel auxiliary sensors. They’re placed in a camera glass that looks similar to the Redmi Note 10 series.
Update: The Redmi 10 has a starting price of Php7,590 in the Philippines.
It’s also the first in the series to have a fast 90Hz refresh rate screen. It intelligently switches to 45Hz and 60Hz depending on the task on hand to conserve battery. There’s also a clean punch-hole for the selfie camera.
This phone is also the first to have the MediaTek Helio G88 processor, a slightly modified version of the good ol’ G85 to support the higher refresh rate screen and FHD+ resolution.
The Redmi 10 has a price of USD179 (around Php9,000) for the 4GB/64GB model, USD199 (around Php10,100) for the 4GB/128GB, and USD219 (around Php11,100) for the top-tier 6GB/128GB. It will be available in select markets this August 20, while its release here in the Philippines is yet to be announced.
