Redmi’s current Note series continues to grow with the introduction of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has a few similarities with the standard Note 12 Pro. Only this time, the Dimensity 1080 chip from MediaTek was swapped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G processor.

This newer model also boasts a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2 camera sensor, versus the Pro’s 50-megapixel. Sadly, the optical image stabilization (OIS) is now gone.
Other than those key features, everything else was carried over. The main camera is still joined by 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro lenses. A 16-megapixel camera is on the front for taking selfies and video calls.

Xiaomi also included a premium 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and stereo speakers. Plus, the same 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
It then ships with the latest Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system, has Hi-Res audio, an IP53 rating for being dust and water-resistant, and as a cherry on top, NFC connectivity.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition comes in 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB variants for a price of CNY1,699 (~Php13,600), CNY1,799 (~Php14,500), and CNY1,999 (~Php16,100), respectively. It will be initially available in China while release details for the global market is yet to be known.

Good article. The ideas in “Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition: Snapdragon 778G, 50-megapixel | NoypiGeeks” connect well with what I have been researching recently.

Swapping in the Snapdragon 778G over the Dimensity 1080 is an interesting choice, the GPU performance difference is noticeable for gaming. Losing OIS is a fair trade-off for that chipset upgrade though.
very great product. Smooth configuration, high resolution, sharp. I’m very satisfied.
