Sammie is completing its 2017 budget smartphone portfolio with the new Samsung Galaxy J5 2017. It will be joining the new Galaxy J3 and J7 to provide the tech giant a stronghold to the low-end to midrange market.
Just last month, the new Galaxy J5 Prime was made available in the Philippines. However, despite the “Prime” title, it looks like it’s nothing compared to this one because of the more premium set of hardware.
For starters, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 has a larger and better 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display in contrast with the Prime’s 5-inch PLS TFT panel. This device also has a more powerful 1.6GHz octa-core processor, and a larger 3000mAh battery.
There’s also a 13-megapixel sensor at the back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera in front. Samsung is also making the fingerprint scanner a standard feature to mid-range handsets.
