Samsung has released the Galaxy M16 5G in India reinforcing the brand’s commitment to software support.
Despite its budget status, the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G will receive 6 years of Android upgrades and security patches — beating even some of the competition’s flagship line-up.
The Galaxy M16 5G shares a lot of similarities to other Galaxy midrange phones we’ve already seen before, particularly with the Galaxy A16 5G. It sports the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which has a clock speed of 2.4GHz and achieves AnTuTu Benchmark scores of more than 422,000 per Samsung.
It also boasts a decent 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and an efficient One UI Core 7.0 based on Android 15, and will receive up to Android 21 as stated earlier.
There’s a large 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen on the front with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. A 50-megapixel main shooter is on the back joined by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 2-megapixel macro lens.
A standard 5,000mAh battery powers everything paired with a 25W wired adapter.
The Samsung Galaxy M16 5G retails for INR11,499 (~Php7,600) and will be available in India come March 5. We’ll have a better chance of getting the Galaxy A16 5G here in the Philippines, so stay tuned for updates.
