TECNO has introduced a new tablet called the Megapad 10, and just like their other tablets, this one is positioned in the low-end market.
The TECNO Megapad 10 comes with a large 10.1-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution and 450 nits of peak brightness. No high refresh rate or fancy HDR support, but you do get an Eye Comfort Mode, Dark Mode, and stereo speakers for audio.
It also has a 7,000mAh battery — not the biggest for a 10-inch tablet, but large enough for 8-hour video playback. TECNO claims it can also last for 500 charge cycles, which is half of what most phones offer.
Charging is done using the 18W adapter via the USB-C port. A full charge will take 2.5 hours, TECNO claims.
Under the hood, it is powered by the entry-level MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor, with 4GB of RAM, and an option between 128GB and 256GB of internal storage expandable up to 512GB via the microSD card slot.
It may not be the most well-spec-ed tablet around, but at least it’s affordable, has a large display, 4G connectivity, and is incredibly thin at only 7.35mm. It weighs 447g. A 13-megapixel selfie camera is on the back and a 5-megapixel sensor is on the front.
Pricing and availability details for the TECNO Megapad 10 are still unknown, so be on the lookout for that.
