TECNO Mobile just launched a new smartphone. Meet the new TECNO Pop 6, and the brand was pretty stingy on the details of this one, especially with the processor of choice.
The new TECNO Pop 6 is powered by an unnamed quad-core processor. Definitely not the fastest and most modern chipset, but the company is bragging that it has at least 4G LTE connectivity.
Since we don’t know the CPU, we also don’t have the GPU. On the upside, TECNO did say that it has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
With its underwhelming hardware, the device had to run with a power-efficient Android 10 Go Edition.
It may not be the fastest, but the Pop 6 will appeal to those who want a compact device. It only has a 6.1-inch display, which should be small enough to be used with one hand and make the low HD+ resolution ample.
A notch on top holds the 5-megapixel selfie camera, which has its own LED flash. A similar 5-megapixel shooter is seen on the back next to an unknown accomplice (possibly a depth sensor). Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery, with an unknown charging speed (possibly 5W, 10W if we’re lucky).
The TECNO Pop 6 is listed on the Nigerian website for a price of NGN52,700 (around Php6,700). No word yet if it is also coming to the Philippines.
