TECNO Mobile launches another big and budget-friendly smartphone with the Spark 9.
Like its cousins, the TECNO Spark 9 features a pretty packed display. It’s at 6.6-inches, has a 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate for increased responsiveness. But since it is still a budget phone, it uses an LCD panel and only has an HD+ pixel resolution.

A waterdrop notch on top of the screen holds the 8-megapixel main camera. On the back, we have a dual-camera setup that consists of a 13-megapixel main shooter and an unknown second camera, which could only be an AI sensor. The island also houses a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, it is powered by an entry-level but gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G37 octa-core processor. You can get it with 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage.

The battery has a 5,000mAh capacity, which is quite standard for devices at this price. Albeit, it still charges via microUSB instead of USB Type-C.
TECNO Mobile‘s HiOS 8.6 interface is at the helm, which is based on the latest Android 12 operating system.

The TECNO Spark 9 has a starting price of INR9,499 (around Php6,700) in India and will go on sale on July 23. No word yet if it’s coming to the Philippines.
