The iQOO Neo 5 has gotten a younger brother with the new iQOO Neo 5 Lite.
Despite the name, the Vivo iQOO Neo 5 Lite is still a proper flagship phone with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and 11-layer liquid-cooling heat dissipation system.
Albeit, it only has an LCD screen instead of the AMOLED that its bigger brother had. On the upside, it’s bigger at 6.57-inches and faster with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Being the cheaper model, the Lite version gets to have a bigger 4,500mAh battery (versus 4,400mAh) but a slower 44W charging (versus 66W). Vivo claims that a 30-minute charge can already provide 70% of juice.
The cameras are nothing too exciting. It has the standard 48-megapixel main shooter that other phones also have. Plus, the typical 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro shooters.
A couple of worthy inclusions are the stereo speakers, Multi-Turbo 5.0 for an optimized gaming experience, NFC, a memory-share feature that can allocate 3GB of its UFS 3.1 storage like RAM, and of course, 5G connectivity.
As per usual, the iQOO Neo 5 Lite will first land in China. It has a starting price of CNY2,299 (around Php17,200) for the 8GB/128GB, CNY2,499 (around Php18,700) for the 8GB/256GB, and CNY2,699 (around Php20,200) for the top-tier 12GB/256GB model. Its release details in other markets are yet to be known.
