Following the announcement of the V5 Plus, Vivo also released the third model of the V5 family – the Vivo V5 Lite. Though the pricing of the model has not yet been released, it is expected to be the cheapest among the V5 series.
Being the entry-level unit, the Vivo V5 Lite is a less advanced version of the first V5 phones while maintaining the selfie-centred setup. Unlike the V5 Plus, the phone is not equipped with dual front camera. It has a 16 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture partnered with the company’s patented ‘selfie softlight’ technology, making it perfect for taking selfies. Aside from the front cam, it also boasts its 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.
The device maintains the Vivo V5 metal unibody construction with a 5.5-inch 720p display. It’s software runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow skinned with Funtouch OS 3.0; an unnamed 64-bit octa-core processor which comes with a 3 GB RAM and a 32 GB internal storage, expendable via microSD. A 3,000 mAh battery is used to keep the phone up all day.
