Vivo has unveiled two new smartphones in China.
After the announcement of the V5 yesterday, Vivo has continued with a couple of interesting handsets.
Instead of the typical dual rear cameras of other smartphones (like the iPhone 7 and LG G5), the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus both feature a dual camera setup in front. This proves the company’s commitment on improving their selfie game.
The launch happened in its home country, China. And just like what the rumors claimed, the two sports a combination of 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors in front.
The main shooter uses a Sony IMX376 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. The other one is specifically for capturing depth which can enable the users to capture better self-portraits and bokeh shots.
At the back, there’s a 16-megapixel camera with the same aperture, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. Of course, usual smartphone connectivity options are here like Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, and dual SIM support. For security purposes, a fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button as well.
