Vivo has officially launched a new midrange smartphone — the Vivo Y12.
It”s been in the rumor mill for a while, but it’s over now as Vivo finally made it official in India.
Unlike other models, the Vivo Y12 comes in only one model — a 4GB RAM and 32GB storage setup which is meant to be sold in the traditional offline market similar to its other siblings in the Y series.
Its design language was inspired from the trendy gradient finish in most smartphones right now. Vivo Y12 comes in two colors namely; Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red. Screen-to-body ratio is around 81.4%.

The Vivo Y12 is powered by a decent MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and a massive 5,000mAh battery. It has a fairly huge 6.35-inch HD+ 1544 x 720 pixel resolution that can be used for gaming and watching videos in YouTube and Netflix. The software running inside is Android 9 Pie skinned with Vivo’s FunTouch OS. In terms of security, it offers both fingerprint sensor and face unlock capabilities.

In addition, there’s a triple camera system on the back which consists of f/2.2 13-megapixel, 8-megapixel (ultra-wide), and f/2.4 2-megapixel sensors. An 8-megapixel sensor takes care of selfies. The company’s camera software tricks like Pal Capture, Live Photos, Voice Control, Protrait Bokeh, and Time-lapse are all aboard.
The Vivo Y12 has a price tag of Rs 12,490 in India which translates to around Php9,200 in Philippine Peso. There’s currently no information yet regarding its launch and release date in PH as of the moment.
