Vivo has released yet another smartphone to gear up for the new year. This time, we have the Vivo Y55 5G.
The Vivo Y55 5G gets its modern connectivity feature from the trusty MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor. It’s joined by 128GB of internal storage, albeit only has 4GB of RAM. On the upside, it can borrow 1GB from the ROM and turn it into virtual memory for an extra boost when multitasking.

It’s essentially the same with the Y55s that came out last month. Other than the processor, it has the same 6.58-inch FHD+ screen, 50-megapixel main camera, and 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front.
Only this time, the Y55 5G has a smaller 5,000mAh battery, versus the Y55s’ 6,000mAh capacity. It’s juiced by a USB Type-C 18W charger and ships with FunTOuchOS 12 that’s based on Android 11.

The Vivo Y55 5G retails for NTD7,990 (around Php14,900) in Taiwan. Release details in other markets are yet to be announced.
