vivo continues to use the Y55s name with a release of a new model for 2023.
Different from the Y55s 2017 and Y55s 5G 2021, the new vivo Y55s 5G 2023 still inherited a lot of features that the 2021 model had. The only difference we’re seeing is the downgrade from the 6,000mAh battery to a 6,000mAh capacity. Also, this one has made it to the global stage instead of staying in the Chinese market.
Other than having a smaller battery, everything else is the same. It’s still powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor, an option between 4GB and 6GB of RAM, and a single 128GB of internal storage.
vivo also kept the apt 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD screen, an 8-megapixel selfie camera on top, a sharp 50-megapixel primary camera, and the obligatory 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The vivo Y55s 5G 2023 landed in Taiwan for a price of NTD7,990 (~Php14,300) and NTD8,490 (~Php15,200) for the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB variants, respectively. vivo’s Philippine arm is yet to announce if it’s also coming to the country.
