It looks like Vivo doesn’t want to steal the spotlight from the V9. Hence, they sneakily debuted their latest entry-level smartphone — the Vivo Y71.
The launch of Vivo Y71 confirms the few things that we already know about the device. For starters, it comes with a 5.99-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1440 x 720 pixel resolution.
Under the hood, it’s equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, together with 3GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The system will be handled by Android Oreo and will be powered by a 3360mAh battery.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. However, it does have a Face Unlock feature. There’s also 4G LTE connectivity onboard. But in-line with Vivo’s Y-series, the Y71 isn’t selfie-centric. This means that it only has a 5-megapixel front camera, while at the back there’s a 13-megapixel sensor.
The Vivo Y71 has a retail price of INR10,990 (~Php8,760). Its official availability date in India is yet to be announced. Price and availability in the Philippines are unknown as of the moment.
