Huawei is betting big on smart TVs and quite literally so with the new Smart Screen V98.
Even if you’re watching low frame rate videos, the TV’s intelligent dynamic interpolation can convert it to 120Hz to eliminate tailing, stuttering, and residual image.
A screen this large can attract a lot of reflections, hence the AG anti-glare surface that wraps the display. It also boasts a 192 direct-down matrix partition backlight system. The brightness of each individual frame is being adjusted to improve contrast — all thanks to its Clear Holding Pro technology.
Like its other smart TVs, the Smart Screen V98 has a built-in camera. The one on this TV has a 24-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and AI technology.
All the smart features are handled by Huawei’s own HarmonyOS 2.0, which lets you download video and streaming apps, play games, and connect seamlessly with other Huawei devices.
The Huawei Smart Screen V98 has a price of CNY29,999 (around Php232,100) and will be available in China this August 12. Its release details in the Philippines are yet to be known. In the meantime, you can check the Vision S Smart TV available locally for a starting price of Php32,999.
