Sharp’s AQUOS FL and AQUOS FK series of Google TV-powered smart TVs are now available in the Philippines.
Available in two screens sizes, 50 inches and 65 inches, the AQUOS FL series boasts Sharp’s Deep Chroma Display technology that comes with a chroma-enhanced backlight designed to improve color purity. The display has a 4K Ultra HD resolution and is capable of over 1 billion colors, a feat that nearly achieves the digital cinema standard as measured against the CIE 1976 area ratio.
The Sharp AQUOS FK series, meanwhile, comes in three sizes: 50 inches, 55 inches, and 75 inches. The models have what Sharp calls the Ultra Clarity Display that ensures smooth color gradations and therefore bring colors closer to their natural appearance. The series also comes equipped with Sharp’s UV2A photo-alignment technology, as well as anti-glare, to further enhance picture clarity.

Both FL and FK series are driven by the X5 Revelation for picture processing. It is powerful enough to enable the smart TVs to incorporate Sharp’s take on the MEMC smoothing system for motion handling so that viewers can enjoy smoother visuals in fast-moving scenes like sports and action movies.
The viewing experience is further augmented by the Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos integration. The former is a feature that intelligently delivers the best picture quality depending on the ambient light environment. The latter is a surround sound technology for creating immersive audio effects.
As smart TVs, the Sharp AQUOS FL and FK products also have streaming services and social media apps right out of the box. These include YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and an Ethernet port. HDMI and USB slots are also available.
