After a technical setback that hindered its release for a few weekends, the Blackberry Messenger is finally available in major mobile platforms.
Interested users can download the Blackberry Messenger for Android via the Play Store, although the company has stated that not everyone will be able to use the app immediately for sending and receiving messages. There is a line-up put in place to handle the demand, while those who signed up early can use the app right away. Furthermore, initial availability is limited to select countries.
For the unaware, the Blackberry Messenger lets friends and family connect with each other, allowing them to receive messages, photos, and other media files. An iOS version of the app is also available for Apple devices.
