Photoshop users who use the app to edit small-scale images can now use the tool’s artificial intelligence feature that goes beyond just filling in the gaps when expanding the photos.
Dubbed the Generative Expand, introduced in the app’s beta, the feature aids the users in developing their picture with AI-generated content.
To use the feature, the user will only need to drag the crop tool with space beyond the original size of the image to allow for additional material, with or without a prompt of text.
The Generative Expand functionality works on images of all sizes, enabling capabilities such as adjusting aspect ratios, editing a cut-off image, or otherwise adding embellishments.
While Photoshop is an app that is commonly optimized for prominent languages such as English to take advantage of its AI functionalities, AI-based text prompts in the beta are made compatible with over 100 languages.
To leverage the Adobe app’s latest capabilities, users will only have to update their app to the latest beta version.
As the creative minds behind Adobe’s generative AI capabilities and the app itself are hands-on in developing both, users can look forward to more creative tools, especially as more of it is slated to arrive around Fall.
Although the Generative Expand is more likely to be used for more creative purposes rather than ensuring accuracy, it nevertheless broadens the landscape by which artists would be able to augment their creativity.
