The Realme Buds Air 2 Neo was announced as a cheaper alternative to the Buds Air 2 that came out a month and a half ago.
Its key selling point is the inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) despite its affordable price tag. The Realme Buds Air 2 Neo has a price of only PKR7,999 (around Php2,500) in Pakistan, while the Buds Air 2 retails for PKR9,999 (around Php3,200).
Apart from ANC, the Neo also has Transparency Mode so you can stay aware of your surroundings. Game Mode is also present for an 88ms low latency, lag-free listening experience.
Another attractive feature is the design. There’s a marble-like cobblestone shape in the middle of the exterior. This is where the touch control lies: double-tap to play/pause music or answer/end calls, triple tap for the next call, press and hold one side to reject calls, and press and hold both sides to switch between ANC On, ANC Off, and Transparency mode.
The Realme Buds Air 2 Neo is available in Active Black and Calm Grey options.
It then comes with IPX5 water resistance so you can do outdoor activities even when it’s raining.
The smart features are made possible by the Realme R2 chip and dual microphone for calls and ANC.
As for sound, the Buds Air 2 Neo has 10mm Bass Boost Drivers, which Realme claims can provide deeper bass and clearer stereo.
It then connects to your Android or iOS device via Bluetooth 5.2 and updates using the Realme Link app. You can also adjust the EQ and noise control from the app. The Dual-channel transmission ensures these TWS earphones work in perfect sync.
As for the battery, Realme claims the 480mAh capacity can last for 20 hours with ANC on and 28 hours without it. Each bud can carry 5 hours of juice for continued listening, while a quick 10-minute charge can already provide 3 hours of music.
The Realme Buds Air 2 Neo is now available in Pakistan. Its release details in markets like the Philippines are yet to be known.
