There’s no denying that AMD chips have dominated Intel’s, especially in gaming. So much so that Alienware has introduced its first AMD gaming laptop in 13 years.
The last AMD-powered gaming machine from Alienware came out in 2007. Now, we’re getting the new Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5. This one, alongside the Dell G5, is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series CPUs partnered with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series GPUs.
This model will boast up to a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 4TB of storage consisting of two 2TB PCIe M.2 SSD, and a 15.6-inch screen with an option between an FHD panel with ultra-fast 360Hz refresh rate, FHD at 260Hz, or QHD at 260Hz.
This one starts at USD2,229.99 (around Php108,300). (Update: Dell changed the starting price to USD1,793.98 (around Php86,600)).
- Gaming peripheral brand Vertux is now in the Philippines
- GTA Online’s long, annoying loading times can be reduced after all
All models will come with Alienware’s signature design. The Ryzen models will then have Cryo-Tech cooling and an option for an ultra-low profile mechanical keyboard co-created by Cherry MX. They will be available in select markets starting April 7.
