After releasing the special Galaxy Z Flip 3 version last month, Samsung’s latest Galaxy Buds 2 is also getting a special Pokemon Edition in South Korea.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pokemon Edition will feature a special case that’s the shape of an actual Poke Ball. Quite similar to the Razer Pikachu TWS that came out two years ago. It can be outfitted with a strap loop so you can carry it easily.
What’s interesting is, that you can remove the actual Buds 2 case from the Poke Ball and fit the case of a Galaxy Buds Pro or Galaxy Buds Live.
The actual earbuds will come in the standard colors that are already available for the Buds 2: Olive, Onyx, White, Graphite, and Lavander.
Die-hard fans will also appreciate the other memorabilia that comes with it. Samsung is throwing in one of eleven limited stickers: Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Ditto, Jigglypuff, Eevee, Lapras, Mew, and Gengar.
For a quick recap, the Galaxy Buds 2 features a similar form factor to its predecessor. It comes with three levels of active noise cancellation (ANC), Bixby voice, and up to 20 hours of battery life.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pokemon Edition is now up for display on Samsung Korea’s website for a price of KRW134,000 (around Php5,500). It’s yet to go on sale and the release details in markets like the Philippines are yet to be announced.
In the meantime, you can check out the standard Galaxy Buds 2 model that’s available in the Philippines for Php6,990.
