Xiaomi has introduced its new TWS earbuds, the FlipBuds Pro.
The main feature of the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro is its Active Noice Cancellation (ANC). The same feature is also found on a lot of budget earphones today. The ANC on the FlipBuds was made possible by Qualcomm QCC5151 chip.
Users can drop the ambient noise to 40db, which Xiaomi said the same volume inside a library.
There’s a dedicated microphone that analyzes external noise, another one for calls, while the third ensures that the user’s voice is not included in the noise the ANC mutes on calls.
The FlipBuds pairs to your phone with the latest Bluetooth 5.2 standard with aptX Adaptive Dynamic Codec support.
This Qualcomm chip also makes low-latency/gaming mode possible. Albeit, it only works on Xiaomi devices such as the Mi 11 series, Redmi K40 series, Mi Mix Fold, Redmi K30 series, and Redmi Note 9 Pro.
As for the hardware itself, the FlipBuds Pro uses 11mm drivers for audio, a pebble-like charging case that’s slightly wider, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
It has a total of 28 hours of battery, with each buds carrying 7 hours of juice at a time, 5 hours with ANC enabled. It also has support for Qi wireless charging.
The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro has a price of CNY799 (around Php5,900) and is now available in China. The international release is yet to be known. It’s only available in Black.
