The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway, CCLEX for short, opened a few months ago and eventually accommodated sub-400cc motorcycles with displacements of at least 125cc.

But, on September 14, 2022, the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC), the company that manages CCLEX, announced that they are lowering the minimum displacement requirement to only 110cc.

This means that scooters like a Kawasaki KSR 110 or Honda Beat 110 can now enter the CCLEX. CCLEX is also considered the longest bridge in the Philippines.

In a statement, the CCLEC said that the move to lower the 125cc limit to 110cc is to answer the “clamor of motorcycle users” and make CCLEX “more inclusive and accessible to more road users.”

Before implementing the new rule, CCLEC made a couple of careful considerations and did simulations inside the CCLEX. The company also installed new and additional safety features on the expressway.

Motorbikes with 110cc to 399cc engine displacements are categorized as Class M1 vehicles and will have a toll rate of Php60.

This also means that 110cc motorcycles can now have CCLEX RFID installed on their bikes at CCLEX Customer Service Centers found near the toll plaza, Anjo World, and Landers Superstore.
