As the rest of the world makes a shift to electric-powered vehicles in a bid to fight air pollution and promote a good breathing environment for everybody, the Philippines is joining the effort as Gogoro is bringing its Smartscooters to the country.
Born from the partnership between Globe Group’s 917Ventures, the Ayala Group, and the Taiwan-based Gogoro, the Gogoro Smartscooters will soon be roving the streets of Metro Manila after the product’s pilot testing sometime in Q4 2023.
While electricity-powered vehicles are nothing new, the Gogoro Smartscooters will be making a name for itself for its efficient and convenient battery-swapping technology ecosystem.

Unlike other electric scooters which are known for their slow and extensive charging time, Gogoro breaks the norm by introducing the swap-and-go system where consumers would simply have to replace their depleted batteries with fully charged ones every single time, emphasizing the importance of charging stations as well as efficiency and convenience.
Making a debut, Gogoro is a label that is not yet widely renowned in the Philippines just yet. But the brand is already known across other Asian countries, namely China, India, Japan, Korea, Israel, and Indonesia, for bringing sustainable transportation solutions to those countries.
