After setting itself in Philippine history as the company that brought the most affordable fiber internet to the public, Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. is looking to disrupt the industry once again with the lofty goal of making gaming more inclusive to a broader market.

Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said that his company has “some cloud platforms and new technology,” telling how they aspire to “open up more to the mass market” using their “new adaptive technology”.

Citing how “gaming in the Philippines” is exclusive to the high-income segment given how games require the highest requirement for optimum performance, Uy claims to change the perspective once they enter into gaming.

Aside from giving consumers access to fast internet through its prepaid and postpaid offerings, Converge recently made headlines when it launched its streaming platform, BlastTV.

It was co-developed with TAP Digital Media Ventures (DMV) Corp.

Made exclusively for its fiber subscribers, BlastTV offers some 4,000 hours of content from its library of foreign movies and series, free of charge.

As a streaming platform, BlastTV is slated to become a home to various creations made by the likes of Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, MGM Television, and NBCUniversal Media.

And for the first time in the Philippines, it will also feature works by Studio Universal, starting September 15, 2023.

By giving privileged access to Converge subscribers only at launch, it is anticipated that BlastTV will be an attraction to new customers.
