Midrange devices are becoming more powerful every time we see a new one. As technology advances, we’re starting to see flagship features being handed down to more affordable devices.
We’re seeing this happen in devices like the POCO X2. Xiaomi is really hard at work to make the POCO sub-brand the people’s go-to when looking for bang-for-the-buck smartphones.

It’s equipped with a fast display, unique design, and a powerful processor — features that we never saw on midrange smartphones a couple of years ago.
It is yet to arrive in some markets, but the X2 is already facing a new competition with the new Realme 6 Pro.

Just like the former, Realme’s latest release is here to take on the latest from Xiaomi. It features a lot of great features that make it equally interesting.
With that, here in our Realme 6 Pro versus POCO X2 specifications and features comparison, we want to see which between these sub-Php12k smartphones is worth your time and money. Let’s start!

Both the Realme 6 Pro and POCO X2 are equally great devices. As you just saw above, they have their own edge against each other.
So, to help you decide which one to pick, let’s digest their advantages over one another.

If performance and day-to-day usability are what you’re after, then going with the POCO X2 might be the right choice.
This thing sports a better 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS display, with a faster 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10 support. That easily dominates the still-impressive 90Hz 6.6-inch FHD+ screen on the competition.

The performance out of their respective processors are neck-on-neck. The POCO X2 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. Just by the branding, you can tell that it’s better than the Snapdragon 720G.
However, the latter is actually a newer processor and has a higher clock speed. It even has the same Adreno 618 GPU. So we’re expecting an identical performance between the two, albeit, the faster screen on the X2 will make the experience feel smoother.

The POCO X2 also has a 4,500mAh battery that’s slightly larger than the 4,300mAh of the Realme 6 Pro. Oh, and of course, an IR blaster, which basically makes it a universal remote for your non-smart appliances at home.

On the other hand, we have the Realme 6 Pro, a device for the shutterbugs out there.
It does have the same 64-megapixel, 8-megapixel (ultra-wide), and macro cameras. But, the Realme 6 Pro gets a one-up with its 12-megapixel telephoto lens that can provide 2x of optical and up to 20x of digital zoom. That’s more useful than the 2-megapixel depth sensor of the X2.

We also have the dual-cameras on the front. The X2 has a more pixel-packed 20-megapixel primary sensor, but the Realme phone does provide you an option to take better group shots with its secondary ultra-wide front-facing camera.
Thanks to its newer processor, the Realme 6 Pro gets to enjoy the newer Bluetooth 5.1 standard and a slightly faster 30W fast charging.

Bottomline, we think the winner here is the Realme 6 Pro. It may have a slower display, but a 90Hz panel is still a major upgrade over the traditional 60Hz refresh rate that we’re used to. Moreover, you can enjoy a smartphone with better cameras, both in front and back. Useful features that you can get when you go with the Realme 6 Pro.
Price-wise, they are more or less the same because they belong in the same category.
