Vivo has launched a couple of budget smartphones recently, both in the V and Y series.
But today, we particularly want to check out the Vivo V19. It’s the midrange phone that is expected to arrive in a lot of markets, including here in the Philippines.
We want to dive deeper on its specs and features, to see how it stacks up with some of its biggest competition.

Speaking of which, today we’ll be comparing the V19 to the OPPO Reno 3. Just like the former, this one is also expected to arrive in more countries outside China.
In fact, the Reno 3 is almost ready to launch here in the Philippines. However, it might have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Either way, our Vivo V19 versus OPPO Reno 3 specifications and features comparison is still here to help you decide which one to get once they hit the market.

As you can see, both the Vivo V19 and OPPO Reno 3 are equally interesting devices. In fact, they almost share the same features. However, personally, we think we gotta hand the win to the Vivo V19 on this one.

For starters, the Vivo V19 has a better performance and bigger battery than the OPPO Reno 3. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 octa-core processor. As per a lot of benchmarks and performance reviews, it should deliver better performance than the Helio P90 processor of the Reno 3. The V19 even comes with water cooling for better thermals.

Partnered with its powerful processor is the 4,500mAh battery, which is relatively bigger than the 4,025mAh capacity of the former. It even has a 33W fast charging support, faster than the 30W of the Reno 3.

The Reno 3 does have a more appealing set of cameras on paper. It comes with a 44-megapixel selfie camera — the first smartphone to have it — and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens.
But unless you can find a use case for a telephoto lens and ultra-sharp selfies are very important, then you might be better off with the V19. This thing comes with a front-facing ultra-wide camera, which can be more useful, especially for taking selfies with friends and family.

The rest of the specs are pretty much identical. They have 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screens, at least 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and almost the same connectivity features.
The bottom line, the Vivo V19 takes the crown thanks to its more powerful processor, larger battery, faster charging, and the ultra-wide selfie camera. Let’s just wait and see how Vivo and OPPO are going to price these smartphones in the Philippines..
