Huawei will diversify its product portfolio by releasing a new OLED TV.

Huawei has been teasing it for quite a while now. But since it’s just a TV, there’s nothing much to hide about it. So after a couple more posters, it looks like we have everything to know about this Huawei Smart TV X65.

First, as stated earlier, it will be an OLED TV, and it’s the first time that Huawei is making one. It will span at 65-inches, although we expect Huawei to offer it in different sizes, too.

Just like the Honor Vision TVs from its sister company, the Huawei Smart OLED TV will have a 24-megapixel selfie camera for family video calls or photos. It’s mounted in a pop-up mechanism for privacy and a cleaner look.

Since it’s a smart TV from Huawei, it will sport the company’s own Hongmeng operating system. It will also have a dedicated ambient sensor that can intelligently adjust the brightness and colors depending on its surroundings or the time-of-day.

Richard Yu, Huawei CEO for consumer business, teased new and innovative ways that you can control the TV. If we were to speculate, the Huawei smart TV might have the same gestures as the Huawei P40 series.

Instead of looking for the remote, all you have to do is do hand gestures on the front of the TV to switch channels, adjust volume, and more. A feature that will help Huawei’s first OLED TV standout and outshine some of its major competition, including the Mi TV 4s from Xiaomi.

The smart TV is also expected to have 14 speakers. With this whopping amount of speakers, expect to have a surround sound feel straight out of your TV, no soundbar needed.

The price and availability of the Huawei smart TV X65 are expected to be unveiled on April 8. Of course, we don’t expect it to come cheap. So if you just want a simple TV for you and your family to enjoy, we have a list of cheap 32-inch LED TVs under Php5,000 that you can check out.
