The vivo V30 does get quite a substantial upgrade over the vivo V29. For starters, it has a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor that offers better CPU and gaming performance, as well as improved battery efficiency.
More than efficiency, you should get longer hours with the V30 as it physically has a bigger 5,000mAh battery. The charging speed is the same 80W, though.
Another major upgrade is seen in the camera department, as the V30 now has a much sharper 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, which makes the lack of a macro lens forgivable.
Overall, if you already have the vivo V29, there’s no reason to feel sorry as it still shares an ultra-thin design, display, and main camera as the vivo V30. But if it’s the first time you’re upgrading in a long while, then jumping to the newer model is a better than getting the old one.
