LG has introduced its new series of WOLED gaming monitors, the LG UltraGear GX9 series.
The line-up consists of the LG 45GX990A and 45GX950A, which are 45-inch monitors with a 5K2K resolution at 5120 x 2160 pixels and wide 21:9 aspect ratio. LG didn’t say the exact refresh rate, but they are apparently variable. They also have a 0.03ms GtG response time.
If you’re curious about their difference, the LG 45GX990A is a bendable monitor. It’s completely flat but will automatically switch to 900R curvature with a single button press. Meanwhile, the LG 45GX950A will have a traditional 800R curvature, no flat option.
Everything else is the same. The duo has support for DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1, works with NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, has LG Anti-Glare and Low Reflection (AGLR) coating, support for LG Dual-Mode feature, and a beefy USB-C port with 90W power delivery.
Pricing and availability details of the new LG UltraGear GX9 series should be unveiled at CES 2025 this January in Las Vegas.
