Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has launched a gaming monitor, aimed at budget-conscious consumers in and across China—the Redmi Monitor G34WQ.
Sporting a 34-inch screen, the Redmi Monitor G34WQ supports up to 2560 x 1440 resolution (WQHD) at a 180Hz refresh rate. It has a 1500R curvature as well as a 21:9 aspect ratio.
The budget gaming monitor is best paired with an AMD GPU, thanks to its AMD FreeSync Premium support. The G34WQ has a 1ms response time.
Capable of exhibiting a broad range of colors across a spectrum, the monitor’s display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with a color accuracy of ΔE<2. While it supports DC dimming, the monitor has a peak brightness of 350 nits.
Designed for various viewing angles, the Redmi G34WQ is capable of sideways rotation, vertical adjustment, as well as front and back tilting. Whether standing on a surface or mounted on a wall, the monitor can be adjusted according to the user’s whim.
Looking at the back, the Redmi Monitor G34WQ has an RGB LED ring light as well as a pair of DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports.
The Redmi Monitor G34WQ is launched with a price tag of ¥1,999 (~$280). However, consumers can purchase the monitor for ¥1,499 (~$210) for a limited period. Unfortunately, the same gaming monitor might not become locally available elsewhere. But who knows, maybe we’ll see it in Lazada or Shopee.
