We are not lacking in video games turning into films or series, as yet another hit title is coming to our screens soon.

Bandai Namco Entertainment and A24 recently announced that they are already developing an Elden Ring live-action movie, spearheaded by Alex Garland, who has written and directed works such as Ex Machina, Civil War, and Warfare.

Together with Garland are Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich from DNA, who will work as producers. But wait, there’s more. Vince Gerardis and George R. R. Martin himself will also be joining the team.

These are the details we have for now, as the project was recently announced; we have yet to see who the cast will be or even what plot this adaptation will follow. Elden Ring fans know that the game itself isn’t plot-driven or cinematic, so players can easily make theories about what story the film will highlight.

Elden Ring is a 2022 video game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Much of the worldbuilding was written by American writer George R. R. Martin, who is known for his A Song of Ice and Fire series, which was adapted into the iconic Game of Thrones.

The game mainly revolves around the player’s customized character, who goes on a quest to repair the Elden Ring, which will then make the player the new Elden Lord.

There are so many possibilities for how the movie will be presented, but what do you think? Let us know your thoughts.
