Build-it-yourself gaming desktops are now more popular than ever. But for those who don’t want to go through the hassle of building their own machine, pre-built desktops are still available in the market.
The demand for this kind of computer is still high, which is why we have the new ASUS ROG Strix GL12, a new beastly gaming machine that packs some of the most powerful hardware in the industry today.
One of its headlining components is the 3.6GHz Intel Core i7-9700K processor, which is overclocked to 4.9GHz out of the oven. It’s housed inside an Intel Z390 motherboard and comes with 16GB DDR4 RAM (2x 8GB), and a 256GB SSD + 2TB 7200rpm HDD for storage.
ASUS is also bragging its 8GB NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU, which is one of the best graphics cards that’s out in the market today.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a real ROG product without the Aura Sync RGB lighting. Which also works with the included ROG Strix Flare mechanical keyboard and ROG Gladius II mouse.
Being a desktop computer, the ASUS ROG Strix GL12 will have an optical drive reader and provides tons of room for expandability. The board has 1x PCIe x1 slot, as well as 1x PCIE x16, 1x M.2 for WiFi, 2x M.2 for SSD, and 2x DDR4 U-DIMM slots.
As for connectivity, the GL12 has WiFi IEEE 802.11 ac, 1GB Ethernet, 4x USB 3.1 Gen 1, 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.1 Gen 2, 1x HDMI out, 1x S/PDIF-out, and a slew of ports for surround speakers.
The new ASUS ROG Strix GL12 comes at a retail price of USD3,299.99 (~Php178,800) and will start shipping in select markets this November.
