Gaming laptops are known for two things. First, they are seriously powerful so they can nail triple-A games. And since they mostly come with serious hardware, they are incredibly expensive. But with ASUS Philippines’ latest release, the company is trying to break the norm.

The new ASUS Z560UD gaming laptop is still relatively more expensive than most notebooks in the market. However, for a true-blooded gaming machine, this is one of the cheapest that you can get.

For a starting price of Php39,995, the ASUS Z560UD is equipped with powerful hardware that you can expect from a capable gaming laptop. The base model comes with an Intel Core i5-7200U processor, with the top-of-the-line model sporting an Intel Core i7-855U chip.

The screen is set at 15.6-inches, with an FHD IPS panel, and a decently fast 60Hz refresh rate. And to ensure that games run smooth, the ASUS Z560UD comes with an NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU with either 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

You can also configure it with up to 16GB of RAM, up to 256GB of M.2 SSD storage, and up to 1TB of 5,400rpm HDD.

Despite being an entry-level laptop, the Z560UD surprisingly comes with a sleek and minimalistic design. The lid has what ASUS calls as “Reaper Black” finish, with Teal color accents and lighting that looks really appealing. It is also far from the aggressive gamer look that their ROG laptops have.
