Ayaneo has announced the Pocket S, a powerful Android handheld gaming console that will be available later this year.
The new Ayaneo Pocket S will be powered by one of the three new Snapdragon G-series chips that Qualcomm also just announced. It’s the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, which is Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset meant for handheld consoles.
This chip comes with an eight-core Kyro CPU, Adreno A32 GPU, WiFi 7, and 5G connectivity. It will also support Mobile Ray Tracing.
The webpage, while still lacking a proper and detailed specs sheet, states that the device will have X86-level heat dissipation performance and a “seamless cross-platform AAA gaming experience.”
Ayaneo also showed tons of images of the device that showcase how sleek and portable it is. It will have dual analog sticks, a D-Pad, XYBA buttons, four shoulder triggers, and large cooling vents on top and the back.
The Ayaneo Pocket S is expected to arrive in December 2023. By then, we shall have all the official details, especially the price.
