Remember the Project Q that Sony announced back in March? It now has a name, and it’s called the Sony PlayStation Portal.
The name is quite fitting, as it’s going to be your portal to PS5 games so you can play wherever you are. The Sony PlayStation Portal is essentially a DualSense controller that’s been split in two, with a display in the middle.

Its main feature is the PS Remote Play, which will allow you to access any PS5 game that’s already in your console even if you’re far away from your console, or you want to continue playing in bed before sleeping.

Although, you’d need a pretty robust internet connectivity. The PS Portal requires at least 5Mbps of speed, but Sony suggests 15Mbps speeds for an optimal gaming experience.
Think of it as an accessory to your PS5 as you can only play supported games that are already on your console. You can’t download and play games or media locally or use PlayStation Plus Premium cloud streaming.

For the specs, it has an 8-inch LCD 1080p display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is sandwiched by controllers that have the same layout as the PS5 DualSense. It also has a USB-C port, a headphone jack, and speakers on top. A detailed features list will be out soon.
The Sony PlayStation Portal has a price of USD199.99 (~Php199.99) and will be available later this year. Also coming are the Sony Pulse Explore wireless earbuds for USD199.99 and the Sony Pulse Elite headset for USD149.99 (~Php8,500).
