There’s a rumor going around that, if confirmed true, will certainly delight every Nintendo Switch Online subscriber. It’s not yet officially announced, but Nintendo’s online service is reportedly going to offer games from the venerable Game Boy and Game Boy Color generations very soon.

This latest tidbit comes from NateDrake, a known insider and leaker who in his podcast claimed that Nintendo might finally add Game Boy and Game Boy Color games within weeks.

Currently, the Nintendo Switch Online is home to select classic games from NES and SNES, the company’s first and second home consoles.

Speculations of Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles arriving on Nintendo Switch Online go way back to 2019, when it was discovered that there are four emulators residing inside the NES app.

Two of those emulators are used to run the NES and SNES games, while the other two are expected for Game Boy and Game Boy Color.
