The gaming industry has reached new heights in the last couple of years. Games have gotten better and more importantly, new devices have come out so we can play anywhere and anytime we want. One of those devices includes handheld consoles, and leading game accessories maker Logitech already has one, it’s called the Logitech G Cloud.
To immediately give you an idea, the Logitech G Cloud is an Android-powered handheld game console. But, that doesn’t mean you’d only be playing mobile games with it.

The G Cloud was designed for Xbox Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce Now cloud game streaming. You can also stream locally on your PC or console via Steam Link and Xbox app.
You can download other streaming services like Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and others as long as they work with Android. Of course, Google Play Store is available natively, too.

So, what’s the hardware powering this device? The G Cloud has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor. Obviously not the most powerful chip around, but should suffice for game streaming.
It is paired with 4GB of RAM, which we wish was a little bigger. It is joined by 64GB of storage, which also feels a little small. Thankfully, there’s a microSD card for expansion.

But, we might have a reason behind the underpowered chip. It then has a 23.1Wh battery, which the company claims can last for up to 12 hours. It then charges via the USB Type-C port, which may take two hours and a half.
It then has a 7-inch FHD LCD display, just a few millimeters larger than your standard 6.5-inch smartphone. The refresh rate has the standard 60Hz. This is where a 90Hz or 120Hz screen could have been better.

The screen is sandwiched by a bunch of controllers. It has left and right analog joysticks, analog triggers on each side, bumpers on each sides, A/B/X/Y buttons, and a D-pad. They are remappable, too. Haptic feedback is also onboard as well as a gyroscope.
For connectivity, we have dual-band WiFi 5, which is sadly not WiFi 6. Bluetooth is also onboard but surprisingly, no 4G LTE mobile connectivity.

The Logitech G Cloud has an SRP of USD350 (around Php20,500) and will be available in select markets this October.
