Some of you might have already forgotten that Samsung also makes laptops and notebooks. Actually, they still do, but not a lot of people are taking them seriously. Well, probably not until now as the Samsung Notebook Odyssey comes to life.
This gaming machine is equipped with all the dated and powerful hardware that you can think of. With that, the company hopes that the Samsung Notebook Odyssey will level other machines like the latest ASUS Zephyrus S, and other more popular offerings in this category.
The Notebook Odyssey is powered by an 8th-Generation Intel Core i7 hexa-core processor, has 16GB of RAM, 256GB of NVMe SSD, and 1TB of HDD. The graphics is being handled by the powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 mobile GPU.
A 15.6-inch FHD screen will greet you when you open its aluminium metal lid, with a fast refresh rate of 144Hz and G-Sync support. There’s a stereo speaker setup for audio with Dolby Atmos technology.
As for the ports, we have one USB Type-C input, three USB 3.0, HDMI. and RJ-45.
The design is pretty interesting. There’s a hinge in the middle — a unique touch that’s a bold move Samsung. There’s also the company’s unique gaming logo stamped on the metal lid.
The United States will get first dibs on the Samsung Notebook Odyssey in the coming months. However, its official price is yet to announced.
