The new battle-royale game Spellbreak will launch this year. Aside from that, Proletariat Inc., the company behind it announced that the game will be available free to play on PC, PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Spellbreak is different from most battle royal games. Instead of becoming mercenaries in the battle arena, players have the role of battlemages who can use various spells. They must fight to become the best battlemage.

To start the game, you must decide on a specific class. Each class will have unique abilities. Along the way, you’ll have to choose different equipment like an amulet, boot, or runes to improve your stats. The battlefield in Spellbreak is more diverse because of its multi-level structures across the map.
The game has been available in the Epic Games Store for its alpha and beta testing. Likewise, there has been a closed beta launched in the first months of 2020 for PC and PS4 that allows users to play in both devices.
There is no official launch date yet, at least we know that it’ll come free and with cross-play support in PC, PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
