It’s now easier for our medical frontliners to find a ride going to their respective hospitals with the help of Google Maps.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr), in partnership with Google, launched a new feature in the navigating app Google Maps. With this, routes of the department’s free ride services are now available to the public and on demand.

With the the suspension of public transportation due to the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, many of our frontliners use the department’s free shuttle services to go to their workplaces. Currently, the DOTr offers nineteen (19) routes in this program.

Health workers may use this feature with their smartphones, tablets or laptops.
