Globe has found a smart efficient way to give its users an option to help typhoon Odette victims, all in the safety of their homes.

The company just announced that Globe users can convert their unused data into rewards points, which they can donate to the families and communities that were hit by the recent Typhoon Odette.

Converted data will be donated to the relief efforts spearheaded by Globe’s partner organizations: ABS-CBN Foundation, Ayala Foundation, GMA Kapuso Foundation, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, PGH Foundation, and the Tzu Chi Foundation.

As per Globe, both of its prepaid and postpaid, as well as their home broadband customers can convert their points and donate to the typhoon victims.

Step 1: Download and set up an account to the GlobeOne app and tap “Rewards” on the bottom right corner.

Each GB of converted data has a corresponding monetary value that will be sent to the beneficiaries:

  • 1GB = Php10
  • 5GB = Php50
  • 100GB = Php100
