Do you want to sign out your Facebook account remotely using a different device? We’ll show you how.
I know you’ve experienced it before, or have that problem right now. You signed in your Facebook account on a friend’s smartphone, office computer, or any other outside device. Upon going home, you remembered you forgot to log out your account.
Now, you don’t have to go back from where you came from or bother your friends to log out your account physically, as it could result in further security risk.
Facebook actually has a feature that lets you log out of your account remotely, using a different computer, laptop, smartphone, or any other device that has a web browser. Today, we’ll show you how to do just that.
How to sign out Facebook remotely via web browser
Step 1: On Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or any web browser you have, go to www.facebook.com and log in to your account. On the home page, click on your profile picture.

Step 2: Click “Settings & Privacy”.

Step 3: Click “Settings”.

Step 4: Click “Security and Login”.

Step 5: In the “Where you’re logged in” section, you’d see the devices where your Facebook account is currently active and their location.
Pick the device you want to sign out from, click the three-dot button that corresponds to it, and tap “Log Out”.

That’s it. Your Facebook account will now be removed and signed out from the said device you left it on. But what if you don’t have access to a laptop or computer? We’ll show you next how to do the same on a mobile device.

How to sign out Facebook remotely via mobile app
Here’s how you can log out of your Facebook account using a mobile app — one of the most accessible methods for everyone. The tutorial we’ll show below was done on the iOS app, but it should work the same for Android.
Step 1: Open the Facebook app and sign in to your account. On the home screen, tap your profile.

Step 2: Scroll down and click on “Settings & Privacy”, then tap “Settings”.

Step 4: Scroll down to the Security section and hit “Security and login”.

Step 5: You should see the device you want to log out from in the “Where you’re logged in” section, as well as their location. Afterward, click the three-dot button on the right side of the listed device.

Step 6: Click “Log out” and you’re done.

These are several ways on how you can log out of your Facebook account using a different device.
Using the similar method above, you can also review all the devices that you’re account is currently signed in. If you see a device that’s not familiar to you, it is best to log it out immediately. You can also change your password to a more secure one for better security.
