Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is a proactive MOBA (Multiplayer online battle arena) gaming experience that allows players to enjoy a balanced and fair game. However, what we usually experience while playing takes a lot of time and effort to ensure everything is working fine before Moonton (MLBB’s developer) implements the stable updates. This is the importance of having an advanced server.
Think of the ML Advanced Server like every app on your phone. Before the developer releases it to the public, it must first be tested for bugs and other inefficiencies. That is the same with Mobile Legends. And with millions of active and dedicated players, it’s no wonder ML ensures that everything is stable before releasing it to the general population that enjoys the game.

What is the Mobile Legends Advanced Server?
The Mobile Legends Advanced Server is a test server where Moonton and a select group of players try out new updates and features before they get released to the Official Servers. It also allows players greater flexibility than they can normally in the normal servers.
Here are some of the things the developers and volunteer players try out:
1. Hero Adjustment
Whenever Moonton notices that some heroes are too strong that everyone is using or banning them, it decreases the balance of the game. This is the same with heroes being so weak that nobody wants to select them as their main heroes.
In the Advanced Server, the developers, as well as with the help of players, determine whether to nerf (weaken) or buff (strengthen) a hero. They may also recommend hero adjustments and reworks based on the findings in the Advance Server.
2. New Hero Testing
Aside from providing feedback for existing heroes, the ML Advanced Server is also a way to test new heroes and adjust them accordingly to ensure they are balanced – not too strong or weak – before they appear on the normal servers. New heroes can also have a different name and skill set than their official release.
3. Battlefield Adjustment
Another important aspect of the game that requires careful assessment and testing is what happens on the battlefield. This includes testing changes in the emblems, maps, and equipment. This ensures that they can adjust the game accordingly whenever possible to ensure that the game is as fair as possible.
4. New Features and Gameplay
The ML Advanced Server is also used to test new functions and gameplay that the developers believe can help improve the game. For instance, if you’re playing in the Official Server, you’ll only use Draft Picks when you reach the Epic rank. However, in the current Advanced Server, you’ll use the Draft Picks as early as the Grandmaster tier.
ML Advanced Server Requirements
The MLBB Advance Server is somewhat exclusive to players who meet certain criteria, so not everyone will be allowed in. Before you can join the Advanced Server, you must pass the following requirements first, such as:
- Your Mobile Legends Account must be at least level 15.
- You must be in Southeast Asia and have a stable Internet connection (Ping less than 100).
So, you can’t access the Advanced Server unless you satisfy these basic requirements.
Also note that if you change from the Official to the Advanced Server, your profile data, including your owned heroes and skins, will not be transferred. You also can’t play with your friends on the official servers because some game aspects differ.
Lastly, access to the Advanced Server is typically reserved for Android users, so iOS users are sometimes not included in the tests or require a different testing method.

How to download and access Mobile Legends Advanced Server
Before the recent changes, Moonton allows players to conveniently contact the Mobile Legends Customer Service in-game with just a click of a button. However, that is no longer the case. These changes on how to join the Mobile Legends Advanced Server are a way to limit the number of players wanting to join in.
There are currently two general ways to get into the Advanced Server that you can try:
Method 1: Wait for the Thursday Advanced Server reset.
The first method of accessing the Advanced Server is by waiting for the Thursday reset of the Advanced Server access. According to Moonton, they give access to approximately 40,000 players from 50 to 100 servers to the Advanced Server every Thursday when it updates.
First, click on your Profile > Account > Advanced Server.
If you tap on the Advanced Server any other day of the week before the reset, you will get the Advanced Server Rules instead of the Change Server option.
However, suppose you’re selected during the Advanced Server update. In that case, you’ll receive a System Notice of “Switch to Advanced Server” instead of the rules page.
Please take note that this first method is much harder to get into because you need to be fast. But don’t lose hope of getting into the Advanced Server because there is another method.
Method 2: Send an email to Moonton requesting Advance Server Access in ML.
The second method of entering the Advanced Server is by sending an email to the Mobile Legends Customer Support Team.
Here’s an example email. You can change this however you like as long as the thought remains.
Send to: MobileLegendsGame@gmail.com

- Bug Identification and Reporting.
- Community Engagement and Camaraderie.
- Testing new heroes and upgrades before the official release.
It would be a great honor and opportunity to contribute to the betterment of Mobile Legends that we all love. Please let me know if you have other requirements.

Mobile Legends ID: [Insert Your Mobile Legends ID]
Server ID: [Insert Your Server ID]
IGN: [Insert Your In-Game Name]Sincerely Yours,
[Your Name]
After sending your email, you’ll have to wait several days before receiving a response because many players around Southeast Asia are also requesting access to the Advanced Server. Also, not everyone will be accepted, as the Advanced Server slots are limited.
How to find your MLBB ID
Step 1: Go to your Profile by tapping your ML Account picture.
Step 2: Get your IGN. You’ll find your In-Game Name (IGN) on the right of your profile picture.
Step 3: Get your ML ID. Below your IGN is the “ID.” Your ML ID is the set of numbers before the numbers in parentheses.
Please note that ML IDs will differ in length depending on when you created your account. For example, my account has been active since 2016, so it’s only 8 digits. However, newer accounts can be longer.
Step 4: Get your Server ID. Your Server ID is the set of numbers inside the parentheses. This may be four or five digits, depending on when you created your accounts. Newer accounts have a longer Server ID.
How to switch between the Advanced Server and the Official Server
Once you get access to the ML Advanced Server, clicking the “Advanced Server” button in the Account Setting will prompt you to switch to the Advanced Server. Then, you’ll have to create a new account because your current account will not be transferred to the Advanced Server.
Then, if you want to revert to the Official Server, just click the “Switch Server” in place of the Advanced Server button. It will show all your servers. Then click on the server with “Normal” to select the Official Server.
