Back in July, Cherry Mobile announced their latest product — the CherryRoam. You can look at this device as the ultimate pocket WiFi device as it packs almost all of the things that you could possibly need to stay connected while traveling.
The Cherry Mobile CherryRoam is a 4G LTE-equipped roaming device, which means that you can get ultra-fast internet connection in over 100 countries worldwide.
Cherry Mobile has teamed up with GlocalMe, a company known for their CloudSIM technology. GlocalMe’s services will allow the CherryRoam to work in different countries around the world, while also making sure that you have a secured web browsing experience.
And to ensure a stable connection, the CherryRoam is equipped with a Qualcomm 4G LTE chipset.
Cherry Mobile also offers different data packages for the CherryRoam. For one, you can have 1GB of internet data (valid for three days) in countries like South Korea and Japan for only Php250. You can check the image below for more details about the data packages and pricing.
Other than its wireless capabilities, the pocket WiFi’s actual hardware is also complete with intuitive and functional features.
It comes with a decent 4-inch touchscreen, so you can easily navigate through the interface, without the need for a separate smartphone app that most pocket WiFi use. I was able to test the device’s interface for a brief moment, and I can safely say that it does feel straightforward and easy to use.
It does have a dedicated smartphone app, but it’s meant for you to manage your account, purchase data packages, and monitor your data usage.
The device can also accommodate two nano SIM cards and charges via the traditional microUSB input.
Speaking of charging, the CherryRoam comes with a large 5,350mAh battery. This allows the device to act as a power bank, in case you need an emergency back up once your phone drains out.
