Xiaomi is yet to confirm the existence of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. However, a retailer already pulled the trigger and put up the device on sale in AliExpress, thus revealing its official renders and specs details.
As per the listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will have a large 6.26-inch FHD+ screen. The screen notch is noticeably thicker than the Redmi 6 Pro, almost mimicking the one found on the iPhone XS.
The broader display notch was probably due to the extra front-facing camera that this device has. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 20-megapixel selfie camera, coupled with an extra 2-megapixel sensor for depth-sensing.
On the back, it has a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel setup, which is identical to the one found on the Redmi Note 5. In total, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has a quad-camera setup, which we can only find on devices such as the Huawei Nova 3i and several others.
It would have been nice if the handset ran on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, but instead, Xiaomi settled for a Snapdragon 636 chipset for this one. The model listed on AliExpress comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. However, we can surely expect it to arrive in different memory and storage configurations.
And to fully utilize its large body, Xiaomi rigged it with a 4,000mAh batterym, which is actually becoming a standard to their midrange smartphones recently.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will ship with Android Oreo and MIUI 9 out of the box. On the downside, it still utilizes a microUSB port, which is quite outdated for a smartphone in 2018.
