Apple recently made the iOS 7.1 update available for all users to download. It introduces a couple of new features as well as performance improvements and UI enhancements.

Leading the pack of changes in the iOS 7.1 update is the Apple CarPlay, the company’s car infotainment system, for bringing the iOS experience (complete with Music, Maps, Messages, and other apps) into select new cars released in 2014 and later.

Other changes include manually controlling Siri to stop listening, enabling auto HDR for the iPhone 5s, the ability to see calendar events in month view, and many more. The iOS 7.1 update also makes significant boosts in performance especially to the iPhone 4. Launching apps from the homescreen should be noticeably faster.

To update their old iOS 7, users with supported iDevices simply have to go to Settings, then General, then Software Update. Check out the complete iOS 7.1 changelog below:
